Alex Bono named in youthful U.S. squad for Bolivia friendly

Toronto FC goalkeeper Alex Bono and six other uncapped players were selected by the United States men's national team interim coach Dave Sarachan for the friendly against Bolivia in Pennsylvania on May 28.

Manchester United's Matthew Olosunde, Manchester City's Erik Palmer-Brown, Everton's Antonee Robinson, Club Tijuana's Alejandro Guido, Benfica's Keaton Parks, and Werder Bremen's Josh Sargent were also picked in a roster that has an average age of 22 years and 286 days.

Christian Pulisic returns to the national team fold for the first time since October 2017 after making 41 competitive appearances for Borussia Dortmund in the 2017-18 campaign. He and Joe Corona are the most experienced players in the squad with 20 caps apiece.

There is also a berth for Timothy Weah, the 18-year-old son of Liberian legend George Weah who made his first senior start for Paris Saint-Germain in Saturday's 0-0 Ligue 1 draw at Caen.
