Sunderland skipper John O'Shea and forward Ola Toivonen have both been forced to leave Sunday's game against Newcastle United early through injury.

In their places, Sebastian Coates slots into the centre of defence alongside Younes Kaboul, while Jermain Defoe replaced Toivonen and leads the line for the Black Cats.
Defoe had an instant impact: Picking up the ball around the halfway line, he put a through ball into the path of Steven Fletcher. With the Scot homing in on the Newcastle goal, defender Fabricio Coloccini barged him over.
That earned the Magpies skipper a red card, and Adam Johnson coolly slotted the penalty beyond Rob Elliot to give the home side the advantage just before the break.
