Report: Premier League to hold crisis talks on season's future Thursday

Premier League clubs will hold a second emergency meeting on March 19 to discuss plans for the remainder of the season, according to BBC Sport's Dan Roan.

The league suspended the 2019-20 campaign until April 3 following discussions between clubs during crisis talks Friday. Those conversations came after Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi tested positive for the coronavirus.

European football governing body UEFA has scheduled an emergency video conference with its 55 football associations for Tuesday to determine the status of this summer's European Championship.

The outcome of UEFA's decision on Euro 2020 could impact the Premier League's plans for potentially seeing out the domestic campaign.

There are doubts the league season will be completed, with Liverpool boasting a 25-point cushion atop the table in search of their first top-flight title since 1989-90.

If the season can't be finished, it's unclear if it will be voided or if the league will base the final standings on the table as of the last match on March 9.

All of Europe's top-five leagues are currently suspended, along with the Champions League and Europa League.
