Salah forced out of Champions League final with shoulder issue
Liverpool extraordinaire Mohamed Salah came off the pitch in tears after suffering an apparent shoulder injury in the first half of Saturday's Champions League final against Real Madrid.
Adam Lallana replaced the Egyptian in the 31st minute.
Salah was forced to exit following a coming-together with Sergio Ramos. The two locked arms as they jostled for possession in the middle of the pitch.
The early substitution robbed manager Jurgen Klopp of his most effective player this season, and it would have also sounded alarms in Salah's native Egypt, which will compete in the World Cup for the first time in 28 years next month.
Meanwhile, Lallana has only recently returned from injury, featuring in just 90 minutes of Champions League football before the final.
