Report: FIFA's ethics committee discusses suspending Blatter, Platini
FIFA's ethics committee is currently in meetings in Zurich to determine whether it wants to suspend Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini, reports Richard Conway of the BBC.
The decision could come this week, according to Conway.
Swiss authorities launched an investigation last month into the affairs of FIFA president Blatter, and also implicated UEFA president and executive committee member Platini as a possible recipient of a "disloyal payment" totaling around $2 million.

The 79-year-old Blatter already tendered his resignation from the post he has held for 17 years. A new election is set for February, with the nominations due on Oct. 26, but Blatter is not planning on resigning before then.
Platini announced his decision to run for president of FIFA this summer, but it remains to be seen whether these new criminal proceedings will affect his candidature.
Fellow candidate Chung Moon-joon, an honorary FIFA vice president, is also being examined by the ethics committee.
Chung threatened to sue Blatter for more than $100 million on Wednesday, while also calling him "a hypocrite and a liar."
