Dutch defender Bruno Martins Indi was taken to hospital for tests after he was taken off the pitch during Wednesday's 3-2 win over Australia due to a suspected concussion. The left center back was on the wrong end of a hard challenge from Tim Cahill who was cautioned for the foul.

Before a concussion was confirmed, Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal told reporters that Martins Indi would be sidelined for a week if the test results turned out to be positive.
As a versatile defender, Martins Indi's experience playing the full back position or as a central defender allowed Daley Blind to take risks pushing up as a wing-back to provide service to the forwards. Replacing Martins Indi with Terence Kongolo might anchor Blind closer to the back line.
