All players are on course as the split tee times have allowed for a quicker start than usual. The rain has become a factor softening the greens and allowing for many birdies already.

Rickie Fowler started his day with back-to-back birdies including a challenging putt on two to bring him within three of leader Rory McIlroy. He sits at 8-under.
Dustin Johnson, golfing in a grouping with McIlroy, took his first opportunity to gain some group with a birdie on one. He sits two back of McIlroy at 9-under.
