Sahith Theegala withdrew from the PGA Championship due to a neck injury, the tournament announced Wednesday.
Alex Smalley has taken his place in the field for the season's second major.
Theegala pulled out of the final round of last week's Truist Championship with the same ailment. He was in last place at 8-over par before withdrawing.
Theegala is ranked No. 31 in the world. His last victory came at the 2023 Fortinet Championship. The 27-year-old finished T-12 at the PGA Championship last year, his second-best result at a major.
The PGA Championship begins Thursday at Quail Hollow.
