Swedish apparel company J.Lindeberg cut ties with PGA Tour player Scott Piercy after he made two controversial posts to his Instagram account Monday, according to Golf.com's Jessica Marksbury.

"When we choose our ambassadors, we choose individuals we know will represent us well on and off the golf course," a representative from J.Lindeberg said, according to Marksbury. "The claims from Scott Piercy were unacceptable and far from our views and beliefs. We have since terminated our contract with Mr. Piercy."

Titleist and Footjoy, brands that operate under Acushnet Company's umbrella, also dropped Piercy, Golf.com's Dylan Dethier added.

Piercy shared a homophobic post about former 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Pete Buttigieg, mocking the politician's sexuality in reference to Buttigieg's decision to end his campaign.

He also shared a post about a far-right conspiracy theory called "QAnon." The theory was deemed a potential source of domestic terrorism by the FBI, as it accuses the United States government of being involved in a wide-spread criminal enterprise,

Piercy later deleted the posts and apologized for offending people.

"Whenever I post my intent is NEVER to offend," Piercy wrote. "I want to apologize if any of my (recent) story posts have been offensive. I will do better!"

The PGA Tour acknowledged Piercy's posts.

"We were made aware of Scott's post and are disappointed in the lack of judgment used," a PGA Tour spokesperson told Golf Digest's Joel Beall.

It's unknown whether the PGA Tour will discipline Piercy.
