Two star-studded featured groups for THE PLAYERS Championship were announced on Sunday, with six of golf's biggest names set to play together in the opening two rounds.
Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Rickie Fowler will be grouped together, marking the first time Tiger and Phil will be playing together at THE PLAYERS in 17 years, and the first time since 2014 they've been paired together on the PGA Tour.
Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Thomas - the last three FedEx Cup winners - were the other featured group announced Sunday.
Tee times have not yet been released. Two more featured groups are to be announced along with the tee times.
