The Anaheim Ducks have recalled goaltender Anton Khudobin from the AHL's San Diego Gulls on Sunday following an injury to netminder John Gibson on Saturday night.
Gibson left and didn't return after a collision with Chicago Blackhawks forward Richard Panik. The Ducks classified Gibson's ailment as an upper-body injury.
Frederik Andersen entered the game in relief, stopping five of six shots as the Ducks went on to win 3-2 in overtime, on a goal by captain Ryan Getzlaf.
Khudobin went 3-3-0 with a 2.70 GAA and a .908 save percentage in eight AHL games.
The Ducks continue their seven-game road trip Monday against the Calgary Flames.
