VIDEO: News team catches Ovechkin gassing up ahead of snowstorm
With Washington, D.C., preparing for a major blizzard Friday night, WUSA 9 reporter Ellison Barber was one of many looking to interview locals about the impending storm.
As she approached an SUV at a gas station for an interview, its driver turned out to be a familiar face in Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin, who got quite a kick out of being asked if he wanted to go on camera.

Ovechkin, whose scheduled game against the Anaheim Ducks was postponed Friday due to the storm, went through with the interview, explaining that he's not too concerned about the snow, since he and his friend are "from Russia, so we always have that kind of stuff."
