The Washington Capitals have a roster chock-full of players on career-best trajectories, but none have made gains like Evgeny Kuznetsov.
The third-year man upped his point total to 38 with an assist on T.J. Oshie's power-play goal in the first period Sunday versus the Ottawa Senators, establishing a new personal best mark in 38 fewer games.
Kuznetsov leads the most potent offense in the Eastern Conference in scoring, at least provisionally, producing at almost a half point-per-game better than he had last season.
His leap in production is second only to Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl.
