Canadiens to update Price's status Monday
Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports
The Montreal Canadiens will update the status of Carey Price - out with a lower-body injury - on Monday, head coach Michel Therrien announced Friday.
Therrien said on Nov. 1 the injury wasn't serious, and Price would be out a week.
Mike Condon has played well in Price's absence, going 2-0-1 in the three games Price has missed. The rookie is 5-0-1 on the season with an impressive .941 save percentage, and will start Saturday against the Boston Bruins.
The Canadiens don't need to rush Price back, in other words.
Dustin Tokarski is backing up Condon for now, and the Canadiens play only two games next week: at Pittsburgh on Wednesday, and home to Colorado on Nov. 14.
