Bruins sign Finnish forward Joonas Kemppainen to 1-year, $700,000 deal

Don Sweeney doesn't wait around.
The general manager of the Boston Bruins made his first move in his new role with the team on Friday, signing Finnish forward Joonas Kemppainen to a one-year, two-way contact worth $700,000 at the NHL level.
The 27-year-old spent 2014-15 with Karpat of the Finnish Elite League, scoring 11 goals and adding 21 assists in 52 games.
Kemppainen finished second in points on Finland's squad at the recent World Championship with three goals and six assists.
