The Hamburglar is back.
Ottawa Senators goaltender Andrew Hammond was the first netminder off the ice at practice and will start Tuesday's game against the Detroit Red Wings.
Hammond served as Craig Anderson's backup for Ottawa's losses to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers over the weekend.
He allowed five goals in a 5-1 loss to the New York Rangers on Thursday, after which he admitted being bothered by a nagging injury following a collision with San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture earlier in the week.
Hammond is 14-1-1 with a 1.92 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage in 17 games.
