Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall left Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers late in the second period after taking a hit behind the net from Vincent Lecavalier.

Kronwall departed for the dressing room with 4:45 remaining in the period.

He appeared to be dazed after his head hit the glass at Wells Fargo Center.

Kronwall returned to the ice for the start of the third period.

The veteran blue-liner had 38 points in 66 games entering Saturday's contest.
