Predators' Forsberg named NHL rookie of the month for November
Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg has been named the NHL's rookie of the month for November.
The 20-year-old winger has amassed 23 points in 23 games this season and leads all rookies in scoring by six points. It certainly seems like Forsberg's rookie of the month nod for November is the first of many on his way to winning the Calder Trophy in a landslide.
In the month of November, Forsberg scored nine goals and added 15 points in nine games.
According to the league's release, Forsberg edged out Winnipeg Jets goaltender Michael Hutchinson, Florida Panthers defender Aaron Ekblad, Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaurdreau, Ottawa Senators forward Mike Hoffman, and Dallas Stars defenseman John Klingberg for the award.
Presumably the voting wasn't all that close.
