Odds makers: Maple Leafs' Randy Carlyle the favorite to be the first NHL coach fired in 2014-15
Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Randy Carlyle is the odds on favorite to be the first head coach fired during the 2014-15 NHL season, according to online sports book bodog.ca.
This shouldn't come as a huge surprise. The Maple Leafs blew a flat late in the 2013-14 campaign and ultimately missed the playoffs by a wide margin after spending much of the season near the top of the Eastern Conference table. Then this past summer the organization changed management and nearly all of the Maple Leafs' assistant coaches and assistant general managers lost their jobs.
Could Carlyle be next? If you think he might be, you can put your money where your mouth is!
