Vegas Golden Knights head coach John Tortorella is confident his team will force Game 7 despite dropping a crucial Game 5 on Thursday.
"We're just going to get ready for our next game. We'll be back here," Tortorella said postgame, after the Carolina Hurricanes won 4-2 in Raleigh to take a 3-2 series lead. "We're just going to do it in a different order."
Game 6 is scheduled for Sunday in Vegas before the series is slated to return to Raleigh for Game 7 on Wednesday.
"We have to find a way," Tortorella continued. "I'm going to leave my clothes here. That's for sure. They'll be in the hotel."
This is the first time the Golden Knights have trailed in the series after holding leads following wins in Games 1 and 3.
The Hurricanes once again turned in a strong offensive effort, scoring at least four goals for the fifth straight game in the series. Carter Hart has been in net for all five of those contests, but Tortorella emphatically stated he isn't looking to shake up the crease.
"That could be the stupidest question I've heard," Tortorella responded when asked if there was any consideration he'd turn to Adin Hill during Thursday's third period.
