Buffalo Sabres forward Beck Malenstyn and Montreal Canadiens defenseman Arber Xhekaj were each fined for separate incidents in Sunday's Game 3, the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced Monday.
Malenstyn was docked $3,515.63 for goaltender interference on Jakub Dobes. Malenstyn received a minor penalty on the play, while Dobes escaped injury.

Xhekaj was fined $3,385.42 for roughing. The blue-liner punched Sam Carrick as time expired in the Canadiens' 6-2 victory.

The contest featured 80 total penalty minutes between the two teams. Montreal took a 2-1 series lead with the victory.
Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET.
