Kings' Kuemper exits with upper-body injury vs. Rangers
Los Angeles Kings goalie Darcy Kuemper suffered an upper-body injury in the first period of Tuesday's game against the New York Rangers and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest, the team announced.
Kuemper departed late in the opening frame following a collision with Rangers forward Jonny Brodzinski.

Kuemper entered Tuesday with a .905 save percentage in 31 appearances. He was a Vezina Trophy finalist a year ago, finishing third among goaltenders with a .921 save percentage and sixth with 31 wins.
The 35-year-old was named to Canada's 2026 Olympic team in December.
Kings backup netminder Anton Forsberg entered Tuesday's game in relief and would be pressed into an extended workload if Kuemper is required to miss additional time.
