The Boston Bruins should expect a new version of Jeremy Swayman this season.

Coming off the worst campaign of his NHL career, the 26-year-old goaltender said he changed "everything" this summer.

"I'm a completely different human being, and that's a testament to the experience I've gained throughout my career to this point," Swayman said, according to WEEI. "I'm so grateful for that, the ups and downs of it all. Sitting here, Jeremy Swayman is in a great spot."

Swayman struggled mightily in 2024-25, posting a .892 save percentage in 58 appearances as Boston's eight-year postseason streak came to an end. He entered the campaign with lofty expectations, having signed an eight-year, $66-million contract ahead of his first season as the Bruins' No. 1 goalie.

Swayman had never previously posted a save percentage below .914, though he had never appeared in more than 43 games while serving as part of a tandem with Linus Ullmark, who departed via trade in the 2024 offseason.

However, Swayman's disappointing 2024-25 season ended on a high note, as he led the United States to its first World Championship gold medal since 1933. He went 7-0-0 with a .921 save percentage at the tournament.

"Right when I got back from Worlds, it was pretty much a steady schedule on the ice," Swayman said. "Really working on my technique, my body, making sure I'm in a great position come (training camp) to be at the top of my game and compete."
