Nashville Predators goaltender Juuse Saros is in net for Game 1 against the Arizona Coyotes on Sunday.
With Saros getting the call, veteran netminder Pekka Rinne's streak of 89 consecutive playoff starts dating back to 2010 ends, according to The Athletic's Adam Vingan.
Saros, 25, makes his first career postseason start after recording a 2.70 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage over 40 appearances this season.
The 5-foot-11 puck-stopper turned aside all nine shots he faced in just over 30 minutes of action during the Predators' 2-0 exhibition victory over the Dallas Stars on Thursday.
Rinne posted career lows with a 3.17 goals-against average and an .895 save percentage over 36 games this season.
