Matthews announced as NHL 20 cover athlete

Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews will be the cover athlete for the NHL 20 video game.

Matthews is already the face of the Maple Leafs franchise and won the Calder Trophy as the league's top rookie in 2016-17.

The 21-year-old ranks fifth in the league with 111 goals over the last three seasons, and sits second in both goals per game (0.52) and even-strength tallies (86) over that span.

Nashville Predators blue-liner P.K. Subban appeared on the cover of last year's edition of the game.
