Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl has been fined $2,569.44 for spearing Chris Tierney of the San Jose Sharks during Game 4, the NHL announced.
The financial penalty is the maximum allowable under the collective bargaining agreement.
The incident earned Draisaitl a five-minute major and a game misconduct:
Draisaitl, therefore, will be eligible to play in a pivotal Game 5 in Edmonton on Thursday.
