Panthers' Lotulelei refuses to dab: 'I don't want to look dumb'

To dab or not to dab?

For Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Star Lotulelei, it's an easy question to answer.

"No I don't dab … I don't want to look dumb," Lotulelei told Jonathan Jones of The Charlotte Observer.

The dabbing craze was ignited after Panthers quarterback Cam Newton stuck his nose in his elbow and introduced most of the sports world to the now iconic pose earlier this season.

Since then, dabbing has spread like a virus through the Panthers' roster, even reaching head coach Ron Rivera:

As the Panthers keep winning, the players keep dabbing. Except Lotulelei.

The lone dissenter made it clear he's not morally opposed to the practice of dabbing, he just doesn't think he can pull it off like Newton and his teammates.

"I might mess it up like some other people do, so I just don't try," Lotulelei said.

Considering how stupid some people have looked dipping their toes in the dabbing waters, Lotulelei might have a point.
