Things turned ugly in the second half of Saturday's wild-card game between AFC North rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals.
Moments after Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier sent Bengals running back Giovani Bernard to the locker room after a crushing blow to the head, Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict returned the favor by driving Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's shoulder into the turf on a sack.
Roethlisberger injured his shoulder on the play and was carted to the locker room. As he left the field, fans pelted him with debris.
