Drew Brees ties NFL record with 7 TD passes in win over Giants
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees made history Sunday, throwing seven touchdown passes against the New York Giants.
That ties Brees with seven players, including Peyton Manning and Nick Foles, for the NFL record.
Incredibly, Brees' opponent in the game, Eli Manning, threw six touchdown passes. Their combined 13 touchdown passes is an NFL record.
Brees finished the game 40-of-50 passing for 511 yards. He threw one interception to go with his septet of touchdowns.
Despite Brees' offensive dominance, the Saints needed a field goal as time expired to secure the win. The 52-49 final is the third-highest combined score in NFL history.
