Andrew Luck officially questionable to play vs. Jaguars

Andrew Luck is in danger of missing a game for the first time in his NFL career.

The Indianapolis Colts passer is officially listed as questionable to play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars on his team's injury report.

Despite the designation, Colts head coach Chuck Pagano told reporters Luck remains supremely confident he will play.

Luck is battling a shoulder injury in his throwing arm and wasn't spotted on the practice field Friday. The Colts announced his participation as limited.

It's unclear how serious Luck's injury is. Though it's rare for Colts players to play without practicing Friday, it's entirely possible the team is being ultra-cautious and giving its star player the maximum rest possible.

If Luck can't play, Matt Hasselbeck is expected to start. The Colts also signed veteran quarterback Josh Johnson on Friday morning. He should provide some insurance.
