Quarterback

1. Marcus Mariota, Titans (vs. Colts)

Two weeks into his NFL career, Mariota has thrown a total of six touchdowns and zero interceptions. He'll now go up against an Indianapolis Colts team with just one takeaway on the season.

With the public opinion having cooled on Mariota just two weeks after his record debut, he'll once again represent a strong value play.

2. Jameis Winston, Buccaneers (at Texans)

A little preview of what's waiting for Famous Jameis in Houston...

Don't start Jameis Winston in Week 3.

Running Back

1. David Johnson, Cardinals (vs. 49ers)

While playing just 27% of the offensive snaps in Week 2, Johnson had a breakthrough performance with 42 yards and a touchdown on just five carries, while also scoring a return touchdown.

Chris Johnson was moderately productive with nearly four yards per carry, but D. Johnson is the higher upside option for a juicy matchup.

2. Melvin Gordon, Chargers (at Vikings)

Gordon has played 46% of the offensive snaps in consecutive games to open his career, and he raised his yards per carry by 1.9 yards from Week 1 to Week 2.

A lack of third-down work will continue to be an issue for Gordon, but he should continue to improve his yardage totals on the ground, and he'll have the potential for his first touchdown against a Vikings defense that has already allowed two rushing touchdowns.

3. Karlos Williams, Bills (at Dolphins)

Williams is averaging 6.3 yards per carry on 12 attempts, with a touchdown scored in consecutive weeks. With RB LeSean McCoy hobbled by injury, Williams could be in for an even larger workload in Week 3.

4. T.J. Yeldon, Jaguars (vs. Patriots)

The Patriots rank dead last in the NFL in terms of rushing yards allowed per attempt, and they're fourth last in terms of average yards allowed per game. This would be good news for Yeldon if the Patriots weren't favored to win by 13.5 points.

Anyone starting Yeldon should be hoping for a big-play score early on, as he likely won't play much in the second half.

5. Duke Johnson Jr., Browns (vs. Raiders)

While Johnson Jr. outsnapped Isaiah Crowell 26 to 24 in Week 2, he had only 12 touches, compared to Crowell's 15. The gap is closing between the rookie running back and his sophomore counterpart, but Crowell remains the more trustworthy option.

6. Ameer Abdullah, Lions (vs. Broncos)

Abdullah totaled just 18 yards on seven touches in Week 2, after turning 11 Week 1 touches into 94 total yards. In fact, excluding Abdullah's two 24-yard rushes and one 36-yard reception in Week 1, he has just 28 yards on 15 touches this season. Buyer beware.

Wide Receiver

1. Tyler Lockett, Seahawks (vs. Bears)

With the Seahawks having started the season 0-2, they're going to have plenty of motivation for their home opener against QB Jimmy Clausen and the Chicago Bears.

Lockett's 32 offensive snaps in Week 2 were third among the team's receivers group. Having caught all six of his targets this season, Lockett should start to garner more consistent looks from QB Russell Wilson.

2. Amari Cooper, Raiders (at Browns)

Cooper would be No. 1 on this list if it wasn't for the projected matchup against CB Joe Haden. Coming off a seven reception, 109 yard, one touchdown performance in Week 2, Cooper is still safe to roster.

3. Phillip Dorsett, Colts (at Titans)

WR Andre Johnson is old and a shadow of his former self, and WR T.Y. Hilton continues to nurse an injury. WR Donte Moncrief is still an affordable option entering an excellent matchup where he'll have a very large workload, but look for Dorsett to have a chance to emulate Cleveland Browns WR Travis Benjamin in both the return game and the passing game.

4. Ty Montgomery, Packers (vs. Chiefs)

With WRs Randall Cobb and Davante Adams and RB Eddie Lacy all nursing injuries of some variety, Montgomery is an intriguing GPP option in a game where the Packers are expected to put up 28 points.
