Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten is the second tight end in NFL history with 1,000 career receptions.

Witten reached the milestone in the second quarter of Monday night's game against the Washington Redskins.

The 10-time Pro Bowler became the 12th player in league history, and the second this week, with 1,000 receptions or more. Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald joined the exclusive club Sunday in a victory over the St. Louis Rams.

Tony Gonzalez was the first tight end to catch 1,000 career passes, achieving the feat on Sept. 12, 2010.

A staple of the Cowboys' passing offense for the past decade, Witten is among the best tight ends in the team's illustrious history.
