The NFL is a money-making juggernaut, its growth seemingly impervious to scandals, criticism, and economic issues.
Every year more and more people watch the NFL, its profit grows enormously, and all of its teams' values skyrocket.
On Monday, Forbes released its annual rankings of NFL team valuations, with the Dallas Cowboys topping the list for the ninth year running with a reported value of $4 billion.
The New England Patriots ranked second, valued at $3.2 billion, and the Washington Redskins were next, at $2.85 billion.
The Cowboys' value is up 25 percent over last year's estimated $3.2 billion in Forbes' rankings.
In a sign of the NFL's endless growth, small-market franchises like the Buffalo Bills, St. Louis Rams, and Jacksonville Jaguars all saw at least a 50 percent increase from their values from last season.
The average NFL franchise is worth 38 percent more than it was last year, according to Forbes, up from $1.43 billion to $1.97 billion.
