The Buffalo Bills have released veteran offensive tackle Wayne Hunter, according to multiple reports.

The 34-year-old was signed by the Bills on July 1 and was expected to add depth to a weak offensive line in training camp. He had experience playing under Rex Ryan with the New York Jets.

"He is a guy that did a tremendous job for us early," Ryan said of Hunter at the time of his signing. "I think in an ideal world there are some players for whatever reason that are better in multiple roles and being almost like a utility guy, playing guard, tackle, tight end. Giving you a lot of that versatility, a smart athletic guy."

The Bills appear to be comfortable enough with Seantrel Henderson to proceed, despite his reported struggles during minicamp.
