The Green Bay Packers are coming off a disappointing exit in the conference title game and it could reportedly lead to changes where the offensive play calling is concerned.

Head coach Mike McCarthy is considering altering the play-calling process, according to Jason Wilde of ESPN Wisconsin.

In a report later confirmed by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, The Fan 1075 in Wisconsin states receivers coach Edgar Bennett would be promoted to offensive coordinator and Tom Clements would be named the new play caller.

McCarthy is revered as an excellent play caller, but he has also received criticism for his game management, most recently in the team's collapse to the Seattle Seahawks

Could McCarthy be considering giving up his responsibilities as a play caller to focus more on the team as a whole? It wouldn't be the first time a coach employed such a strategy.

Either way, with Aaron Rodgers under center, the Packers have the luxury of a competent quarterback that doesn't need his hand held.
