The Arizona Cardinals (11-3) held their lead atop the NFC West with a 12-6 victory over the St. Louis Rams (6-8) on Thursday night.

Drew Stanton left the game with a knee injury in the third quarter and did not return - Ryan Lindley took over in his absence. Stanton went 12-of-20 for 109 yards prior to leaving the game, while Lindley was just 4-of-10, but the Cardinals managed to hold on for the key victory.

With the loss, the Rams' hopes of making the playoffs were essentially dashed.

Here's what you need to know:

  • If you enjoy touchdowns, this wasn't the game for you. It was the first NFL game without a touchdown since 2012. The scoring was comprised of six field goals, four from Chandler Catanzaro and two from Greg Zuerlein.
  • Kerwynn Williams led the Cardinals in rushing with 75 yards on 15 carries. Michael Floyd caught two passes for 55 yards to lead the Cardinals' receiving corps.
  • Arizona held a 6-3 lead at halftime.
  • Larry Fitzgerald became the youngest player to record 900 career receptions. Fitzgerald had a game-high seven catches for 30 yards.
  • Stedman Bailey led the Rams in receiving with five catches for 74 yards.
  • The Rams rushed for a total of 69 yards and couldn't establish much of an offensive presence.
  • The Cardinals also brought an end to the Rams shutout streak, which lasted over two games. St. Louis has now allowed an average of four points over its last three games, but its defense has peaked too late for the team to make a run at the postseason.
