The New York Giants and quarterback Jameis Winston have agreed to terms on a two-year, $13-million extension, sources told NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
The deal keeps Winston, who is set to serve as Jaxson Dart's backup this season, under contract through the 2028 campaign.
Winston joined the Giants ahead of last season and went on to start two games, both of which New York lost. He recorded a 56.1% completion rate, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.
The 32-year-old has also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, and Cleveland Browns over his 11-year career. Tampa Bay selected Winston first overall in the 2015 draft.
He's amassed a career record of 36-53 with 156 touchdowns to 113 interceptions.
