Minnesota Vikings safety Jamarca Sanford has agreed to restructure his contract so that his base salary in 2014 was lowered to $1.7 million from $2.45 million, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
In return his guaranteed money increased to $400,000.
Sanford signed a two-year, $5 million deal in March 2013. The re-working of his contract means he'll likely return as Minnesota's starting strong safety.
