The Denver Broncos inquired about Arizona Cardinals star Trey McBride while exploring potential trades around the league for tight ends, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport.

However, the Cardinals reportedly rebuffed the Broncos' interest and informed them that McBride won't be traded.

The 26-year-old McBride is a familiar face in Colorado. The two-time Pro Bowler and Fort Morgan native played four seasons at Colorado State from 2018-21, where he was named an All-American as a senior before going to Arizona in the second round of the 2022 draft.

McBride set an NFL single-season record for tight ends with 126 receptions in 2025. This season, he leads the league with 66 total catches after eight games. He's also racked up 544 receiving yards with five touchdowns, though the Cardinals are 3-5 and sit last in the NFC West.

McBride is under contract with the Cardinals through 2029 after signing a four-year, $76-million extension ahead of last season - a record deal for a tight end.
