Falcons pick up Bijan Robinson's 5th-year option
The Atlanta Falcons have exercised running back Bijan Robinson's fifth-year option, the team announced Friday.
The move comes as no surprise, as Robinson is entering the fourth year of his rookie contract. He's expected to sign a lucrative contract extension with Atlanta.
The two sides could ink a long-term deal before the 2026 season, sources told CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones. Robinson's fifth-year option is worth $11.3 million for the 2027 campaign.
The 24-year-old put on a show in 2025, registering an NFL-high 2,298 scrimmage yards and 11 total touchdowns en route to claiming a first-team All-Pro berth.
Robinson, who's rushed for at least 1,400 yards each of the past two seasons, has averaged 4.9 yards per carry since entering the league as the eighth overall pick in 2023.
