The Los Angeles Rams have made Trent McDuffie the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history, signing him to a four-year, $124-million extension, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

McDuffie's deal includes $100 million guaranteed, Schefter adds.

His average value of $31 million per year shattered Indianapolis Colts cornerback Sauce Gardner's previous record of $30.1 million per season.

The Rams acquired McDuffie from the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this week in exchange for the 29th overall pick, their fifth- and sixth-round selections in 2026, and a third-round pick in 2027.

McDuffie's recorded three interceptions and eight forced fumbles since being selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He's won two Super Bowls and was named a First-Team All-Pro in 2023.
