Broncos promoting QBs coach Webb to OC
The Denver Broncos promoted quarterbacks coach Davis Webb to offensive coordinator, the team announced Monday.
Webb will remain in Denver despite receiving several requests to interview for offensive coordinator openings with other teams. He was also reportedly considered a finalist for the Raiders head coaching vacancy.
It has not been determined if Webb or head coach Sean Payton will be Denver's offensive play-caller next season, a source told the Denver Gazette's Chris Tomasson.
The Broncos fired offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi on Jan. 27 following their 10-7 loss in the AFC Championship Game to the New England Patriots.
Webb, who joined Denver in 2023, has been credited with helping develop quarterback Bo Nix. The 25-year-old is only the third passer in NFL history to ever throw for 3,500 yards and 25 touchdowns in each of his first two seasons. Denver has also improved through the air under Webb's guidance, climbing from 20th in passing yards in 2024 to 11th in 2025 in his first season as pass game coordinator.
"I think Davis is a tremendous coach," Nix said last week, per team reporter Aric DiLalla. "He understands the role of being a coach. He understands the role of teaching. He really knows how to communicate with your players, with me. He's helped me in two years just consolidate, make things simple, and just keep the main thing the main thing.
The Broncos also elevated Logan Kilgore, previously the team's offensive quality control coach, to quarterbacks coach.
