Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson left Sunday's 27-24 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers with a right hip pointer.
The hope is that Richardson will miss very little or no time, and the signal-caller was in good spirits postgame, a source told Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network.
Richardson said he could've returned after sustaining his ailment but "tried to accelerate and couldn't push off like I wanted to," per Wolfe.
The signal-caller got hurt late in the first quarter after being hit while sliding near the end zone and subsequently walked straight to the locker room. He returned to the sideline but was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the game. Joe Flacco replaced him under center.

The Steelers also banged Richardson up minutes earlier on that same drive. He seemingly grabbed his hip at the end of a run after colliding with multiple defenders. The quarterback was looked at on the sideline but managed to return.

Richardson was off to a hot start before getting injured, completing three of his four passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. He also had three carries for 24 yards.
Flacco - the reigning NFL Comeback Player of the Year - stepped up during his relief appearance, completing 16 of his 26 pass attempts for 168 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.
With the victory, the Colts moved to 2-2 this season and handed the Steelers their first loss in 2024.
