Jordan Love could cash in on his strong first season as the Green Bay Packers' starter.
Green Bay and the ascending quarterback will have a "serious conversation" about a potential new deal in the offseason, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The 25-year-old is contracted through the 2024 campaign after inking a short-term deal last May.
The Packers opted not to pick up the fifth-year option in Love's rookie deal that would've cost $20.272 million fully guaranteed for the 2024 season. Instead, Green Bay gave its new top signal-caller a one-year extension worth up to $22.5 million, including $13.5 million fully guaranteed.
Love earned $4.5 million in escalators after getting the Packers back to the playoffs and will take home another $500,000 after helping to stun the Dallas Cowboys in the wild-card round Sunday.
The 2020 first-round pick has caught fire since Week 11, leading Green Bay to a 6-2 record while throwing 18 touchdowns to just one interception. He finished the season second in passing scores (32), seventh in passing yards (4,159), and ninth in success rate (47.6%) and QBR (62.0).
