Prescott pulls ahead as MVP favorite following showing vs. Eagles
Dak Prescott became the betting favorite to win the NFL's MVP award following the Cowboys' impressive victory over the NFC East rival Eagles on Sunday night.
Prescott's odds shortened from +300 to +160 at theScore Bet. He overtook Brock Purdy (+175), who was the favorite entering Week 14.
MVP odds

---|---|---|
Dak Prescott | +160 | 38.5 |
Brock Purdy | +175 | 36.4 |

Prescott has led the Cowboys to a 10-3 record to hold the top seed in the NFC East. Dallas is undefeated at home and has scored 30 or more points in five straight games on the back of Prescott's league-leading 28 passing touchdowns.
Following the Cowboys' Week 8 loss to the Eagles, Prescott's MVP odds were as long as +6000. But after five straight victories, oddsmakers are giving the Cowboys quarterback a 38.5% chance of winning his first MVP award. He opened the season at +2500.
Purdy is Prescott's closest challenger, with Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts also in the mix. All four quarterbacks have led their teams to 10-3 records.
Tyreek Hill is the only non-quarterback with a greater than 4% implied probability.
