FOX Sports reporter Pam Oliver revealed she suffered a concussion after being hit in the face by an errant throw before a preseason game on Aug. 18.

Oliver told the New York Daily News she "didn't really know what happened" and that she spent the next five days in a dark room at her home.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Chandler Harnish accidentally struck Oliver with a ball in pregame warmups before the Colts game against the New York Giants.

Harnish apologized after the game.

“Now I want to get it out there," Oliver told the Daily News. "It was a painful, shocking moment.”

Oliver's CT scan came back negative but she was diagnosed with a concussion.

The veteran reporter said she was disoriented for the rest of the broadcast. “I asked the people around me, ‘What happened?’ They told me I just got hit in the head with a football."

Oliver suffered from "pounding headaches" after the game.

Oliver will return to the sidelines next Sunday in San Francisco when the Green Bay Packers play the 49ers.

“I’m now officially road kill,” she said. “But when I’m back on the sidelines, I’ll do what I always do: Stay a bit behind the line of scrimmage. And keep my head on a swivel.”
