Seahawks' Walker doubtful, Smith questionable for Thanksgiving game
The Seattle Seahawks are listing running back Kenneth Walker III as doubtful and quarterback Geno Smith as questionable for the team's Thanksgiving night game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Walker is dealing with an injured oblique while Smith has a banged-up right elbow.
While Walker is unlikely to suit up, Smith remains on track to play in the divisional matchup, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports.
Both players sustained their ailments in last week's 17-16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Drew Lock replaced Smith for eight snaps in the loss, completing 2 of 6 passes for three yards and an interception.
Former second-round pick Zach Charbonnet will likely handle the bulk of running back snaps with Walker potentially sidelined. The rookie has 261 yards on 53 carries as Walker's primary backup this season. He's yet to score an NFL touchdown.
Seattle sits in second place in the NFC West with a 6-4 record. The 49ers, meanwhile, own the division's best mark at 7-3. The clubs will face off again in Week 14.
