The jersey Tom Brady wore for his 700th career touchdown pass sold for over $1.2 million at a charity auction Saturday.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey was auctioned off at the REFORM Alliance Casino Night Gala in Atlantic City, New Jersey, with 100% of the proceeds expected to go to charity, according to ESPN's Dan Hajducky. A dinner with Brady was included in the lot.

The winning bid came just shy of eclipsing the all-time record for an NFL jersey, which was set earlier this year when someone paid $1.212 million for Joe Montana's "The Drive" jersey.

Brady threw both his 699th and 700th career touchdown passes in a 33-27 overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills on Dec. 12, 2021.

"It's pretty rare, you know? But it was very cool," Brady said at the time. "I'd much rather not have it come down to (overtime), but, in the end, they all count the same."

Saturday's auction was hosted by the REFORM Alliance, a criminal justice reform organization founded by Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, Meek Mill, and Jay-Z. The event raised a total of $24 million.
