New York Jets safety Chuck Clark is out for the season after further testing confirmed he suffered a torn ACL in practice earlier this month, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Clark, who was acquired from the Ravens in March for a late 2024 draft pick, was expected to start at safety alongside Jordan Whitehead.

New York signed safety Adrian Amos to a reported one-year deal worth up to $4 million earlier this month. The Jets were not interested in Amos until recently, according to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic.

Amos visited the Ravens last week, but the potential of starting for the Jets intrigued him.

The 28-year-old Clark spent the last six seasons with the Ravens, starting in 63 games. He finished second on the team in tackles last season with 101.
