Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor suffered a sprained ankle during Saturday's 39-36 overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Taylor will undergo additional testing to determine the extent of the injury, Schefter adds.
He suffered the injury on the first drive of the contest. He was examined in the medical tent before heading to the locker room and was later ruled out.
The 23-year-old finished the game with one reception for 13 yards. Zack Moss and Deon Jackson shared running back duties in his absence.
Taylor missed time earlier this season with an ankle injury. He has 861 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
